Nspire Wealth is a privately owned practice that does not have equity or debt in that ownership. This ensures that we never have to choose between serving the shareholders over you, the client.
We will discuss and review where you are and what you would like to accomplish, and then determine an appropriate risk level for near term, mid-term and long-term assets.
We will establish an investment plan and seek to mitigate concentration risks in your tangible portfolio in conjunction with your intangible assets. Your proposal will include asset allocation guidelines customized for your needs and desired outcomes.
This analysis includes your privately held businesses, residential and commercial real estate, as well as specialty assets such as yachts and aircraft. This is an all inclusive look at your assets and liabilities.
We will apply stringent guidelines to seek out managers for you who exhibit predictability of returns over an entire market cycle. These managers must meet continuing diligence on an annual basis and provide market color and outlooks on a quarterly basis.
We will also provide guidance and execution on appropriate opportunities and risk mitigation strategies to compliment your core portfolio.

Brenda Cox is the founder of Nspire Wealth in Denver, Colorado. The goal of the firm is to work with financially successful families and their foundations to develop a plan for current and new investments, oversight of those investments and exit strategies. We focus on the entire balance sheet, including the debt, to encompass a holistic plan for the family's financial future.
Brenda prides herself on developing long-term relationships with the families and foundations that she serves. She views her practice as a partnership with her clients to sustain generational and foundational wealth.
Brenda’s experience and knowledge are extensive, focused on private, corporate and investment banking and institutional consulting. At Citi, Brenda enjoyed a seventeen-year tenure where she was named Managing Director before the age of 40. Skilled at integrating firm-wide resources, Brenda was particularly effective as an advisor and conducted large-scale transactions involving multiple divisions of the firm. Brenda worked closely with clients to advise them of risk in their asset and liability portfolios. She provided ongoing oversight of alternative investments, including credit, lock-up, geographic, macroeconomic and manager-specific risks.
Throughout her years with Citi, she advised and negotiated prepaid forward equity contracts, interest rate swaps, international banking (Singapore, UK and Mexico) and private equity. Notable transactions include negotiating a complex derivatives enhanced lending solution giving the client protection from concentrated risk and loaning the client’s shares to Citi to make a market in the underlying stock. She sourced and led a public to private transaction denominated in Canadian dollars through a syndication with three other banks. She sourced and negotiated a Premier League Football acquisition by American ownership that was seeking the club's purchase and stadium construction financing. Brenda also sourced, negotiated, and closed a line of credit totaling $750MM, the largest capital call facility in Citi Private Bank's history at the time, which included partner facilities to allow the partners to invest in the fund.
During her time at Citi, Brenda worked closely with high-net-worth individuals, owners of private companies, family foundations and control persons in publicly traded companies who often required hybrid financial advice across multiple channels of the firm. She is particularly skilled in equity and alternative investment selection, investment management and consulting, strategic and tactical asset management, and risk management. She has more than three decades of experience in public equity sponsorship, personal aircraft financing, commercial real estate and jumbo home lending and structured debt.
In 2009, Brenda moved to Merrill Lynch and co-founded the Hamstra/Berger Team within the firm's Private Banking and Investment Group. During her eleven years with Merrill Lynch, she established a rigorous investment management process. In 2015, Brenda merged within the firm with the Starratt Group Global Institutional Consulting. Investment consulting became her specialty after the financial crisis moving from the liability side of the business to the asset side managing client's investment portfolios which were primarily HNW individuals, foundations, endowments and pension funds with assets held on and off the Merrill Lynch platform. Her team oversaw more than $7B of assets under management at Merrill Lynch's Private Bank and Institutional Consulting Group. This group was a natural progression for Brenda having been trained through the Wharton School of Economics under Jeremy Seigel, Norm Toi and Peter Linneman in the most important aspects of investment management.
Brenda’s community involvement has included participation in Junior Achievement’s “JA for a Day" teaching at a Denver Public School. She has volunteered with Brother’s Redevelopment painting low-income senior housing and has coached girls’ volleyball ages 8-13 in Brighton and Parker, Colorado.
Brenda previously sat on the Program Committee and Board of Directors of Aspen Youth Experience, an outdoor education and leadership organization directed toward improving the lives of at-risk teens.
Brenda and her daughter developed a program to purchase and provide holiday stockings stuffed with toys to approximately 160 children from low income, single-parent homes who were escaping domestic violence at Warren Village in Denver. They expanded their efforts and increased their giving to an additional 109 children at the Rodarte Center in Greeley, Colorado.
